Carmen Champion:
I grew up on a farm in Central Illinois where we grew everything we consumed. Our pantry was always stocked with the spring/summer/fall harvest and our deep freeze was bungee-corded shut. We raised pigs and chickens and bought a cow each year to have butchered. We still had a milkman for awhile and sold the eggs we raised at church.

As a kid I always wanted to be a stand up comedian and loved Paula Poundstone. I like to think I'm funny, but keep my bits and dark humor for those who tolerate me.
At 16 I started working in restaurants and that quickly turned into bars and left that industry to write, but got side-lined by teaching yoga and eventually buying a studio. The writing bug has always had its hold on me. This is a place for me to write and you to read (or not).
I still love to cook, and am told I have a lot of energy. I recently discovered the Ennegram and have been enjoying getting to know this side of myself. Being an 8 on the Ennegram scale has helped me understand myself and others better. It has also created some conversations that I may not have otherwise had.
So that's just a bit about me. Thanks for stopping by.
